Abengoa Bioenergy currently has fourteen production plants of bioethanol and other co-products derived from the processes, and a biodiesel production plant, distributed between Europe (Spain, France and the Netherlands), North America (United States) and Brazil.

These plants meet the demands generated in the global bioethanol markets, practically in any point of the world where they arise. Most sales are located in the current production countries, plus Germany, the United Kingdom, Scandinavia, Italy and South Asia.

Abengoa Bioenergy remains a leader in the development of new technologies for the production of biofuels and the sustainability of raw materials, for this purpose dedicating a large amount of resources to research work. In addition, its trading division acts as a service provider of global solutions, with an outstanding capacity for marketing and commodity management, always relying on its global production capacity and on the procurement of raw material, and effective operations, basic principles that provide reliability and critical mass, key aspects for an optimal development of the activity.

The combination of Abengoa Bioenergy’s international marketing and cellulosic bioethanol technology capacities with farming, production and local marketing capacities gives rise to very important synergies which will make it possible to achieve significant growth in the bioethanol world market and have the technology that will help to obtain lower costs per liter of ethanol.
