Abengoa Bioenergía is aware of the importance that the groups of interests the company deals with have on its business and growth. Therefore, besides offering them permanent, transparent and reliable information on the activities of the Company, it tries to encourage the dialogue through different communication channels that adapt to the particular characteristics of each Group of interest developing, at the same time, other new channels as a response to a dynamic and enriching process for both parties.

One of the main groups of interest of Abengoa Bioenergía is its shareholders. The commitment of Abengoa Bioenergía to them is based on the permanent, simple and direct communication that the company maintains and commits to, since many years ago. Conversation, understood as a process of listening and communication, is essential in order to combine and share the expectations of the groups of interest about the strategy of the company.

To promote and encourage a healthy and stable process, Abengoa Bioenergía has several communication channels, in accordance with the needs and expectations of each group of interest already mentioned.

The expectations of investors were taken into account in the business direction, specifically stated in the company’s strategy plan. This plan considers the trends and goals of the sector, and reflects the direction of the activities of Abengoa Bioenergía towards a sustainable development and the fight against the climate change. The plan is reviewed twice a year and defines the risks and opportunities for the following ten years that each product and service of Abengoa Bioenergía may have in all of its geographic areas and markets, as well as the results foreseen during that time. The strategic plan includes an analysis of the influence of sustainability on the company, as from the information provided through market reports or internal reports.

The regular communications with the shareholders are performed within the scope of the actions of Abengoa S.A. and through the information channels specifically set forth to that end, and that may be public presentations at the universities and technology centers and annuals conferences such as World Biofuels, celebrated since 2002, where it is stated the importance of biofuels as one of the instruments to mitigate the serious consequences of the climate change, which has one of its main causes in the uncontrolled use of fossil fuels.
